WHAT HAPPENED

Marcelo Flores scored twice as our under-18s secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Khayon Edwards was also on the scoresheet for Ken Gillard’s side, taking us up to fifth in the U-18 Premier League table.

We struggled to assert our dominance in the first half and found ourselves trailing before the break, with David Omilabu firing home for visitors.

But we bounced back in the second half and in the space of seven minutes, Flores and Edwards completed our comeback.

There would be late drama, though, as Omilabu struck once more late on to level the scores, before Flores converted his second - and our third of the afternoon - to secure all three points.
