Lacazette - How I can improve my game here

Alexandre Lacazette is his own biggest critic.

The France international scored 17 goals during his debut season in north London, but he says there’s still of room for improvement.

“I have to be more powerful and be quicker in my decision making,” he told Arsenal Player. “It’s harder in England than in France, so I have to take in information quicker and be more powerful.

“We just need time to adapt to Emery’s football,” he added. “I know we worked hard in pre-season and it will be better now. We can also see that when everyone works as a team and we understand what the coach asks us to do, we can be a good team.

“We just need to be more efficient with our chances so that we score more goals. We’ll keep going and we’ll keep working.”

Saturday’s clash with West Ham United could give Emery an opportunity to start Lacazette alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and the France international is relishing the chance to strike up a partnership.

“Every day, like I said, we talk, we laugh a lot, we work together when we are on the pitch,” he said. “I like to be with Auba. He’s a good guy. I’m not asking the coach or telling him, ‘I want to play with Auba’ or something like that. He knows we can play well together and then afterwards, he makes his decision.”
