Loan Watch: Campbell scores for Sporting

Joel Campbell scored his first goal for Sporting Lisbon in their 3-0 win against Moreirense in the Primeira Liga.

Gelson Martins opened the scoring, before Campbell headed the ball into the top corner for the hosts’ second. Bas Dost completed the scoring to maintain the Portuguese side’s 100 per cent start to the season. 

Jack Wilshere got off to a winning start with Bournemouth, coming off the bench in their 1-0 win against West Brom. Callum Wilson got the only goal of the game with 10 minutes remaining.

Glen Kamara was also handed his first appearance for Colchester United, coming on as a substitute to help his side beat Blackpool 3-2 in League Two. Armand Gnanduillet gave Blackpool the lead, but Samuel Szmodics’ goal and Chris Porter’s brace gave John McGreal’s side the advantage. Brad Potts pulled one back, but the Us held on to their lead.

Takuma Asano made his debut for Stuttgart, coming on in the 81st minute of their 2-1 defeat to Heidenheim in the 2.Bundesliga. Toni Sunjic cancelled out John Verhoek’s opener, but Tim Skarke struck to give the visitors victory.

Wojciech Szczesny was in action for Roma in their 3-2 victory against Sampdoria, as Francesco Totti stole the show. Mohamed Salah put the Luciano Spalletti’s side in front, before Lucas Muriel and Fabio Quagliarella turned the game on its head. Totti then set up Edin Dzeko’s equaliser, before the 39-year-old fired home a penalty in injury time.
