Sead – It’s a lot of fun to work with the boss

He’s only been at the club since the summer, but Sead Kolasinac’s assured performances to date would suggest he’s been a regular in north London for years.

The Bosnian defender has adjusted seamlessly to life at Arsenal, impressing at both ends of the pitch with his direct and combative style. So why has the defender settled so quickly?

“The main reason is the way the team have welcomed me here,” Kolasinac said. “It helps you on the pitch when you know they have accepted you and accepted you in the way they have. That’s definitely been the main reason for it.

“It is really a lot of fun to work alongside a manager like [Arsène Wenger]. He has been here ever since I can remember.

“At the start, maybe I was a bit nervous to work alongside him. The fact that he speaks German really helps me – it made it a lot easier again for me to settle in here. He is good to work with.

“The season is young but I am happy with how I’ve developed and how I have started. But I have got more potential to get better and I want to show that in the coming games.”
