October internationals: Who's playing, and when?

A number of our players have been called up by their countries for the October international break.

Bernd Leno has been named in Germany's squad for their international friendly against Turkey on Wednesday, October 7, and Uefa Nations League games against Ukraine on Saturday, October 10 and Switzerland on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Alex Runarsson has been called up to the Iceland squad for their Euro 2020 qualifying play-off against Romania on Thursday, October 8, and Nations League games against Denmark on Sunday, October 11 and Belgium on Wednesday, October 14.

 

Kieran Tierney has been included in the Scotland squad for their Euro 2020 qualifying play-off against Israel on Thursday, October 8, and Nations League games against Slovakia on Sunday, October 11 and Czech Republic on Wednesday, October 14.

Thomas Partey is in the Ghana squad for their friendlies against Mali on Friday, October 9 and Qatar on Monday, October 12.

 

Dani Ceballos has been named in the Spain squad for their international friendly against Portugal on Wednesday, October 7, and Nations League games against Switzerland on October 10 and Ukraine on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Bukayo Saka have been called up to the England squad for their friendly against Wales on Thursday, October 8, and Nations League games against Belgium on Sunday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 14.

 

Sead Kolasinac has been included in the Bosnia & Herzegovina squad for their Euro 2020 play-off against Northern Ireland on Thursday, October 8, and Nations League games against Netherlands on Sunday, October 11 and Poland on Wednesday, October 14.

 

Lucas Torreira has been named in the Uruguay squad for their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Chile on Thursday, October 8 and Ecuador on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Granit Xhaka has been called up to the Switzerland squad for their international friendly against Croatia on Wednesday, October 7, and Nations League games against Spain on Saturday, October 10 and Germany on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Nicolas Pepe has been included in the Ivory Coast squad for their international friendlies against Belgium on Thursday, October 8 and Japan on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Eddie Nketiah has been named in England's squad for their Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Andorra on Wednesday, October 7 and Turkey on Tuesday, October 13.

 

Matteo Guendouzi has been called up to the France squad for their Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Liechtenstein on Thursday, October 8 and Slovakia on Monday, October 12.
