Pre-Match Report

Arsenal v Bournemouth: The Brief

Having beaten one south-coast side at the weekend, it's straight on to the next as Bournemouth visit Emirates Stadium.

There was much to encourage Unai Emery about our performance against Southampton, not least the fact that the result moved us up into fourth place with 11 games remaining.

It was yet another victory at Emirates Stadium for us, and only Manchester City can boast a better home record than us in this season's Premier League.

That fine form in N5 will need to continue when Bournemouth arrive in town, although our record against the Cherries should give us confidence. We have won all four of our home meetings against them, and only lost once in 11 matches in all competitions.

But that history will mean nothing unless we deliver a performance of similar intensity as we did at the weekend. Eddie Howe's side have injury problems to contend with but possess great quality and could well prove obdurate opponents if we are not at our best.

Read on for our comprehensive preview, including Emery's thoughts on the game, the latest team news, stats, and analysis of the opposition.
