'Everyone just fed off that energy'

Louise Quinn has settled quickly to life with us - and she's already chipping in with vital goals.

After coming off the bench after 65 minutes in the 4-2 win over Birmingham City on Saturday, the Ireland international scored twice to ensure we claimed all three points.

Here's what she had to say after the final whistle:

on her goal…
I’m obviously delighted with that, it’s probably the first time in my career that I’ve scored two headers in such a short amount of time. But that’s it, I came off the bench and I just wanted to make an impact. That’s what I always want to do. I’m just starting to play games and I’m just happy I could contribute in some way, but the girls did a lot of the brainwork and then Jordan Nobbs played in a great ball, so I was happy to put my head on it.

on it being a grudge match after the Women's FA Cup elimination…
Exactly. You could see for the whole game, they’re a tough team - physical, organised - a really hard team to break down and they’re clinical with their chances. But as I said, I think we started it a little bit slowly, we let them get a bit on top of us but the goal before half-time really picked us up and the energy was coming from the dressing room. Then everyone on the bench fed off that energy too and came on and did a job. It’s just a great result for us.

on the Man City game…
We’re just going to analyse this game, take it easy today and tomorrow and then our concentration will be on the game next week. I think as well with a result like this, we’ll go into the training week with a lot of energy and then as well, we’ll be looking to fix little things that we can. There’s a lot of positives as well from the game and we’ll definitely be there fighting next week as well.

on her time at Arsenal so far…
Absolutely, it’s great to show yourself and I’m just very fortunate. I got to Arsenal at a late stage but they’re treating me so well, the training has been great and it’s great to just get on the pitch as well. So I’m very happy.
