Olivier Giroud opened the scoring just before the interval, before Mesut Ozil doubled the advantage after some intricate combination play with Alexis.
Peter Crouch then flicked in a goal for the hosts, before Alexis shrugged off a knock to burrow towards goal and rifle an effort in off the post.
Giroud then turned home another goal - this time from an Aaron Ramsey cross - to complete the scoring and cap off a successful afternoon.
