Kim Little played the final 15 minutes of our 1-0 win over Millwall in the SSE FA Women’s Cup on Sunday - and Joe Montemurro has hailed the midfielder as “an inspiration”.
The Scotland international had been sidelined for months, but made her long-awaited return at Meadow Park as we sealed our progression to the quarter-finals of this season's competition.
"Kim is an inspiration to all of us," Montemurro told Arsenal.com. "She’s a true professional and what a footballer she is too. We’re loving her back, but we have to be cautious and look after her in the right manner so she can come back in a way that really has a positive effect on the team.
"I think everyone is just happy to have her back now. It’s game-by-game and how she feels. She’s been training fully with us and we’ve probably held her back a little more than we’d want, but we just need to be smart in the way that we do it.
"It’s going to be assessed on a game-to-game basis and a week-to-week basis."
