Pre-Match Report

Tottenham v Arsenal: The Brief

What a difference a week makes.

Going into last weekend we found ourselves 10 points and two places behind Tottenham, and far more concerned with the battle for fourth place alongside Chelsea and Manchester United, than with reining in our north London rivals.

But victory in this Saturday's early kick-off would propel us to within a solitary point of Spurs, as the race for the Champions League places intensifies.

For that to happen though, we will need to record our first Premier League away win in the derby for five years, and only the second since 2007.

There's no doubting we go into the game on a high. Since suffering defeat away to Manchester City at the beginning of February, we have won three out of three in the league, and progressed in the Europa League.

As well as that, the stunning 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture in November is still fairly fresh in the memory.

So the chance to complete a first league double over our local rivals since 2014 is at stake at Wembley Stadium this weekend, but more than that, so is the chance to send out a huge message as we enter the home straight of the league season.

Read on for our comprehensive preview, including Emery's thoughts on the in-form Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the latest team news, derby day stats, and analysis of the opposition.
