Trio enjoy win in opening game of Women's Euros

This summer's European Championships got underway in Utrecht on Sunday evening.

There was a chance for as many as four of our players to be involved when the Netherlands met Norway in the opening game of the Women's Euros.

Three were handed starting berths while another started on the bench.

Scroll down to find out how they got on:

Sari van Veenendaal kept a clean sheet as the Netherlands began with a 1-0 win over Norway. Shanice van de Sanden scored the game’s only goal in the 66th minute. Vivianne Miedema also completed the full 90 minutes.

Danielle van de Donk played 90 minutes also, but was substituted to make way for Jill Roord in added time.

Dominique Janssen was an unused substitute.
