Alex Lacazette is yet to score away from the Emirates for us - but he came close to changing that when bringing a fine save from Thibaut Courtois in the opening stages at Chelsea on Sunday.
Addressing the media after the game, Arsène Wenger praised the striker’s first-half display and also shared his thoughts on David Luiz’s late red card.

I felt Lacazette had a very good first half. He worked very hard for the team, he’s very disciplined and it takes him some time to maintain that intensity for 90 minutes. Don’t forget as well I had Walcott, Giroud and Alexis on the bench, so after 65 minutes in a game of that intensity, it’s normal that you bring some fresh legs in.

I never ask any striker to understand that he has to make room for somebody else. You can never do that.
on David Luiz's red card…
It was excessive force, yes, and I think Kolasinac was not completely on his feet and eased a bit off. I think even Luiz, with a bit of distance, will accept that he went in too strongly. After that, it’s the decision of the referee that you have to accept. I haven’t seen it again but it looked to me like it was excessive force.
