Vivianne Miedema scored a record-breaking 16th goal of the season on Sunday as we ran out 3-0 winners over Reading.
The Netherlands international fired into the bottom corner after two minutes to create a new Women’s Super League record.
“It’s a privilege to have players like her around in terms of her skillset and intelligence,” said Aaron D’Antino, who was filling in for the absent Joe Montemurro.
“She’s a very intelligent player and it’s a privilege to watch her play. For what we want to achieve, a goalscorer like her is exactly what we need.
“Her brain works in so many different ways too, so that’s why she scores so many goals. Naturally she also has brilliant service, but she’s got a real touch of class.”
