Sister club focus: Enfield Town Ladies

Arsenal Women

We work closely with 18 grassroots football clubs as part of our FA Women’s Super League Sister Club programme.

Our programme is one of the biggest in the country and the aim of our support is to get more girls playing football. Over the course of the season we will be focusing on a number of the clubs and sharing information on how girls can start playing football.

To kick off the season, our focus is with Enfield Town Ladies…

Enfield Town Ladies have been running for over 25 years. The Middlesex-based club hold weekly training sessions for teams ranging from under-11s up to two senior sides. All of the youth teams at Enfield Town play in the Capital Girls League.

The club said: “Our aim is to run training sessions and a team for younger girls aged 9 and under, and we would be really keen for any girls of that age to get in touch.

“Our environment is safe, fun and without pressure, so the girls can learn to play football, learn new social skills and make friends.”

Training sessions are held at Southbury leisure Centre, Southbury Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 1YP until the end of March, when sessions will be held at Enfield Playing Fields, Donkey Lane, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3PL.
