The club has been informed there are major engineering works taking place on rail services in London this Sunday, January 25, which will affect trains to Brighton.
Engineering work is taking place between London Victoria and Streatham Common as well as in the London Bridge area which will mean the closing of some lines along with the Gatwick Express services. This will also mean a bus replacement service between Clapham Junction and Wimbledon for onward travel to Brighton via East Croydon.
Southern
A half hourly service between London Victoria and Brighton will operate. There are no direct trains from London Bridge to Brighton, passengers would need to change at East Croydon for onward travel to Brighton.
Trains are replaced by buses between Eastbourne and Hastings all day.
Half of the platforms at London Victoria station will be closed, with services considerably reduced to and from Brighton Station.
Crowd control measures will be in place too, with a queuing system in operation meaning supporters will need to allow additional time for travel.
Thameslink
Two trains an hour will run from London Kings Cross St Pancras to Brighton calling at Farringdon, Blackfriars and East Croydon, before onward travel to Brighton.
Therefore services to and from Brighton are likely to be busier than normal and fans travelling to the game by rail should give themselves plenty of time to travel and also consult the National Rail website prior to travelling.
