Loan Watch: Ben Sheaf makes Stevenage debut

Ben Sheaf made his Stevenage debut, but was unable to help the Boro avoid slipping to defeat against Notts County.

The young midfielder came off the bench to play the entire second half, in which Jorge Grant and Shola Ameobi scored for the home side. 

Jeff Reine-Adelaide played 76 minutes of Angers’ 2-1 win away at Lille. Karl Toko Ekambi put the visitors in front before Nicolas Pepe’s leveller, but Ekambi struck once more to ensure Angers claimed the points.

Lucas played the full 90 minutes as Deportivo La Coruna drew 0-0 with Espanyol, missing a penalty as the game remained goalless.

 

Carl Jenkinson played 83 minutes of Birmingham City’s 2-0 home defeat by Barnsley, with Oli McBurnie scoring both goals for the Tykes. Cohen Bramall replaced Jenkinson, playing the final seven minutes.

 

Chuba Akpom played the entirety of Sint-Truiden’s 2-0 loss to Oostende. Both goals were scored by Aleksandar Bjelica.

Julio Pleguezuelo played the full 90 minutes as Gimnastic drew 1-1 at former Gunner Marcus McGuane’s Barcelona II. Otar Kakabadze put Gimnastic in front, before Marc Cardona drew the hosts level.

 

Kelechi Nwakali played the entirety of Maastricht’s 3-0 win over Almere City. Pieter Nys, Jonathan Okita and Attila Yildirim scored the goals.

 

Tafari Moore played 63 minutes as Wycombe lost 4-2 at home to Morecambe. The Shrimps went into a 4-0 lead thanks to a Kevin Ellison brace, and goals from Adam McGurk and Greg Wylde. Wycombe halved the deficit following strikes from Nick Freeman and Luke O’Nien.

Emi Martinez and Takuma Asano were unused substitutes for Getafe and Stuttgart respectively.

 

Joel Campbell, Marc Bola, Krystian Bielik and Stephy Mavididi were not selected for their loan clubs.
