Our first-team players were full of praise for Bernd Leno following our 2-0 win over Southampton.
The Germany international produced a string of fine stops to keep the visitors out, helping us keep back-to-back clean sheets for the first time since December.
Lucas Torreira also played his part in keeping Southampton at bay, and had this to say after the game:

Bernd’s a very important player, he’s been growing throughout the season. We’re really happy to have him between the sticks for us. He’s very strong in terms of playing with his feet as well and we’re happy to get the three points today.
on the win and Alex Lacazette…
I think it was a very important win today. We obviously knew that Southampton were the team that put an end to our unbeaten run earlier in the season. I think we played very well. In terms of Laca, personally I think we all know how important he is for the team. He does a lot of work for us both in attack and defence. I think we saw today and in previous games the importance that he has for the team.
on keeping a clean sheet…
I think it’s always important to keep a clean sheet because if we do we give ourselves a much better chance of getting the three points, and of course that’s what happened today.
