Eight Gunners to face off in semi-final clash

England will face the Netherlands in Enschede on Thursday, August 3, following this weekend's European Championship quarter-finals.

The Lionesses beat France for the first time in 43 years with a 1-0 win courtesy of a 60th minute strike from Jodie Taylor. The Arsenal forward played the full 90 minutes and took her tally for the tournament to five, more than any other player.

Jordan Nobbs also played the entirety of the match, with Alex Scott and Fara Williams both unused substitutes.

Saturday saw Vivianne Miedema find the net as the Netherlands won 2-0 against Sweden to book their place in the semi-finals. Lieke Martens sent the hosts in leading at the break, with Miedema converting in the second half to ensure victory. Miedema played the full 90 minutes.

Sari van Veenendaal kept a clean sheet and also played the entirety of the match, as did Danielle van de Donk.

Dominique Janssen was an unused substitute.

In the other semi-final - also to be played on Thursday - Austria will face Denmark after victories over Spain and Germany respectively.
