Tottenham loanee Kenny McEvoy gave the hosts the lead and, though Dele Alli quickly restored parity, Kyle Vassell's late brace proved enough to give Posh the victory, despite Daniel Powell setting up a tense finale.

Austin Lipman started but could not prevent Boreham Wood from suffering their first defeat of the season at Staines. Max Worsfold and Callum Willock struck within four minutes to put the hosts in control and they held on to the lead despite Callum Reynolds halving the deficit after half an hour.
