Granit Xhaka is “on the way up”, according to Arsene Wenger.
The Switzerland midfielder was our first signing of the summer and, despite a couple of blockbuster goals in early appearances against Hull City and Nottingham Forest, he has been feeling his way into the team.
But Granit has imposed himself more and more on the Premier League in recent weeks and, like his manager, he feels he is stepping up.
“Actually, it's normal when you come to a new club and country [that it takes time],” he said.
“You need to get used to the language, the philosophy of the team, the squad, the coach. But I do feel very happy and comfortable here, and I know the potential I have.
“In football you just have to develop yourself.”
