Granit Xhaka celebrates scoring for Switzerland against Panama

Seven Gunners were in action as the international break came to an end on Tuesday night. Here's how they fared:

Granit Xhaka scored a penalty in Switzerland's convincing 6-0 friendly win against Panama. Our midfielder netted from the spot after half an hour, after Blerim Dzemaili had given the hosts the lead. Breel Embolo, Steven Zuber, Mario Gavranovic and Fabian Frei were also on target.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan started in Armenia's 1-0 friendly defeat against Lithuania. Ovidijus Verbickas scored the visitors' goal on the stroke of half-time.

Laurent Koscielny played the entirety of France's win over Russia. Two goals from Kylian Mbappe and one from Paul Pogba helped Les Bleus to victory, with Fedor Smolov scoring for this summer's World Cup hosts.

Mohamed Elneny also played 90 minutes, but Nikos Karelis' first-half goal consigned Egypt to defeat against Greece.

Sead Kolasinac was substituted after 74 minutes in Bosnia's goalless draw against Senegal, while David Ospina kept a clean sheet as Colombia drew 0-0 with Australia at Craven Cottage.

Aleksandar Mitrovic's brace meant Alex Iwobi's Nigeria were beaten 2-0 by Serbia in London.

Elsewhere, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere didn't feature as England drew 1-1 with Italy at Wembley, Mesut Ozil missed Germany's 1-0 defeat by Brazil in Berlin and Deyan Iliev was on the bench for Macedonia's 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan.
