Champions League: Who could we face?

We'll find out our Champions League group-stage opponents on Thursday - but who could we face in this season's competition?

The draw will take place in Monaco at around 5pm (UK time) on Thursday, August 25. This is the latest information about our potential opponents:

  • We will be in Pot Two, alongside the likes of Atletico Madrid and Napoli
  • We cannot be drawn against any English club in the group stage
  • Each of the eight groups will contain one team from each pot, while no group can contain more than one side from a single country

These are the teams in each pot:

Pot 1: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Leicester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, CSKA Moscow

Pot 2: Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Sevilla, Porto, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester City

Pot 3: Basel, Tottenham, Dynamo Kiev, Lyon, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Club Brugge, Borussia Monchengladbach

Pot 4: Monaco, Besiktas, Legia Warsaw, Ludogorets, Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb, Copenhagen, Rostov
